Main occupation
- education of Mechanical Engineering students in Fluid Mechanics,
in undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Research activities are directed in application and development
of theoretical, experimental and numerical methods in Fluid Mechanics,
especially in:
- Research and development in fluid mechanics.experimental
methods
- Research and development in CFD numerical methods for calculating
turbulent flow
- steady and unsteady fluid flow hydrodynamic modeling in
pipelines networks
- Ship hydrodynamics, experimental and numerical methods
for determining ship wave resistance.

Location
The main part of the Fluid Mechanics Department is located in the
southern building of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval
Architecture, at the 6th floor. Its laboratories are placed
in the eastern building.
